One of my all time favourites (I know I know I have a lot of them!) But this one I honestly can not get enough of!
SERVES 4
INGREDIENTS
4 beef steaks
1cup balsamic vinegar
1tbs honey
1tbs ghee
1 shallot, sliced finely
3 garlic cloves, grated
1sml bag of “semi dried” Oregano
1 generous handful of fresh parsley
METHOD
Remove the steak from the fridge and from their packaging, let them rest on a plate and come to room temperature. Coat lightly in olive oil and pepper and salt
For the reduction fry off the shallots, garlic and ghee first in a small saucepan
Add the balsamic, honey and then the herbs
season with pepper and salt
cook the steak in the pan for 6mins one side and then 4mins the other side for medium rare
Once the steak is done, slice it horizontally and place on a platter to serve
Drizzle over the reduction…careful this will make your taste buds tingle
