Grilled Steak with Baked Sweet Potato Fries and Sautéed Vegetables
Ingredients:
For the Steak:
- 2 steaks of your choice (such as sirloin or ribeye)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for grilling
For the Baked Sweet Potato Fries:
- 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into thin fries
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Sautéed Vegetables:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 red capsicum, thinly sliced
- 1 thinly s
- 1 zucchini, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Prepare the Steak:
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Rub the steaks with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Grill the steaks to your desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, depending on thickness. Remove from heat and let rest while preparing other components.
- Make the Baked Sweet Potato Fries:
- Preheat your oven to 220°C.
- Toss the sweet potato fries with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
- Sauté the Vegetables:
- While the fries are baking, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the capsicums, zucchini, onion, and minced garlic to the skillet.
- Sauté for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender-crisp. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Assemble and Serve:
- Arrange the grilled steak on a plate alongside the baked sweet potato fries and sautéed vegetables.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes:
- You can use an air fryer for the sweet potato fries instead of baking them in the oven.
- Adjust seasoning and cooking times according to your preferences and the thickness of the steaks.
