Real Fitness Training (RFT) was founded on a genuine love for helping people and we have been helping people live their best lives since 2013!
At 22, we dreamt of making a difference and fostering sustainable change. Frustrated by the lack of genuine care in traditional gyms, we envisioned a space where everyone felt seen, heard, and valued. Our humble beginnings, driven by passion and commitment, led to a welcoming sanctuary free from judgment.
Over the years, Mitch and I have grown and evolved the offering, constantly learning from our community and strengthening our mission, we even added our own little RFT member to the gym, our son Byron!
We are mission-led and people-first, dedicated to empowering and uplifting each person who joins us. We're not just building a gym; we're building a movement that celebrates every victory and supports every challenge.

The Strength Connection is a personalised small-group strength training program designed to help you build strength, improve fitness, and stay accountable. With expert coaching, tailored sessions, and a supportive community, you’ll train in a focused environment that blends personalised attention with the energy and motivation of a group setting, creating sustainable progress in your health and strength journey.
During our discovery phase we will help design you the most appropriate program best suited to you and your needs however when deciding between 1-on-1 personal training and small-group training, consider if you’re looking for highly individualised coaching tailored exclusively to your needs, 1-on-1 training is ideal. On the other hand, small-group training offers personalised strength sessions alongside the motivation and camaraderie of a supportive group, making it perfect for those who thrive in a community setting while still receiving expert guidance and accountability
Our small group strength training sessions are intentionally limited to a maximum of 10 participants. This ensures that each client receives personalised coaching and dedicated attention from the coach. By keeping the group small, our coaches can closely monitor technique, provide tailored guidance, and ensure every individual gets the most out of their session. This approach strikes the perfect balance between focused, individualised support and the motivational energy of training within a community.
