I wanted to do something a little different this week. I wanted to share with everyone the thoughts of our RFT Transformation Challenge winner from Sept 2019. Here, Hui explains exactly why she loves doing a challenge and what it is that she gets most out of it. As you’ll see, the benefits are things we ALL can gain no matter where you’re at in your journey.
Why do you regularly participate in the RFT transformation challenges even when you always track food and exercise 5+ times per week?
It’s like a great reset and motivation for me. After a while things tend to get comfortable so I like that the challenge makes me rethink my goals and helps me to reset. I like the accountability I get when I join the challenge. I don’t want to let my teammates down so I make sure I do the tasks that are set for us every week. On top of that, I always manage to learn something new about nutrition and health and fitness during the challenge. It also helps me to create good, new habits that I know are good for me but tend to forget when things start to get comfortable. I also love watching and listening to other people’s journey and transformation. It’s very inspiring!! I enjoy giving my 2 cents (if it’s worth anything) to others who are new to the challenge.
What are your top 3-5 things you always get out of a challenge?
1. Knowledge about nutrition, fitness and training.
2. Knowledge on how to maintain the weight loss.
3. Great habits that become a routine in my life.
4. Weight loss and decrease in body fat.
5. A sense of community and getting to know other’s journey and story.
Who would you recommend participate in a challenge?
Anyone who wants a change in their lifestyle or have a body shape goal. Someone who is unsure about nutrition but wants to know more. Someone who knows about nutrition but has been in a plateau and needs some motivation or a reset. Anyone who needs accountability to achieve their goals.
