Are you a vegetarian? Or do you need a break from meat? Well here is a fantastic alternative.
- 2 Field mushrooms
- Red onion
- Dairy free gouda cheese
- Ice-berg lettuce
Firstly marinade the field mushrooms for at least 2hrs before BBQing them. I used a smoky marinade from ‘All About Empathy’ with a dash of hot sauce however that is optional. Bbq the mushrooms (place the cheese on top of the mushroom towards the end of cooking process so it will melt a little) and then toss the red onion in the left over marinade and put them on the bbq. Once cooked you can then assemble your burger accordingly.
