Did you know that over the last 10 years, there has been 3 times the number of men involved in suicide deaths as women? In 2016, 76% of all suicides were by men.
This is largely due to the fast-paced, high stress lives that we are living. On top of that, when it comes to depression, men are often less adept at recognising symptoms of depression than women. Whether it’s due to the pressure we put on ourselves to be strong and in control of our emotions, or some stigma around seeking help, men tend to hide their feelings from themselves and often others by internalising their struggles and carrying the burden alone.
It’s time to open up the conversation!
On 20th July, Real Fitness Training is holding Man Night – a night where the men of RFT can get together to throw around some weights, hydrate with beer and have quality chats. Come along to recharge your man spirit and to meet and connect with the gents of RFT.
At Real Fitness Training, we value mental, physical and spiritual health – and it’s through surrounding ourselves with a community of like-minded individuals that we can achieve and maintain holistic health. If you are in the Hills District including Castle Hill, Kellyville, Bella Vista, Baulkham Hills, Glenhaven, West Pennant Hills, Dural, Rouse Hill and surrounding areas, get in touch to get involved in this awesome initiative.
We look forward to hearing from you!
