How Do I Change My Mindset?
Mindset is powerful. It leads us to what we are going to do, how we are going to do it and when we are going to do it. What do I mean by mindset? I mean your attitude or view towards something. Whether it is towards a new job you are going for or your lifestyle in general. It’s very common for people in these situations to question themselves or have a feeling of self-doubt. But there are ways to help alleviate these feelings.
Changing your mindset to a positive one is easier said than done. Our brains are hardwired to focus on the negatives. Relating back to early humans. If our brains didn’t focus on the negatives such as an animal trying to kill them they wouldn’t of survived. But in this day and age that is not a worry for us so our negative focus tends to be on other things.
Changing your mindset first comes about by becoming educated especially when it comes to nutrition and exercise because a lot of people don’t know what is right! That’s why it is important to research information or talk to an informative trainer!
Tip #1: Being Grateful
Becoming confident and positive can be done easily. What you should attempt is what you are grateful for. Think of 5 things you are grateful for. It can be anything, family, friends, sports, the sun, anything! Now try doing this every morning before you complete your morning routine. This is effectively going to rewire your brain to becoming more positive.
Tip #2: Actions of Confidence
This relates to confidence. Again just think about this question. Have you ever been in a situation where you thought you weren’t confident enough to do it? Everyone has these thoughts. No one is ever confident at first. What they do is act confident because the actions of confidence come first and the feelings of confidence come later. Of course it is easier said than done but a prime example is Nelson Mandela. When he was in prison he would walk proudly with his chest held high. He wouldn’t let anyone see him looking nervous or anxious. His actions of confidence led to feelings of confidence in himself and others around him.
Becoming more positive in life will do wonders for you. It will change how you view everything from simple pleasures such as spending time with friends to bigger tasks such as work projects. Once your mindset shifts and you start to have the self-belief, you will notice the world around you looks more positive.
